Homestead Texas Labor Day II

The weekend marked the first anniversary of the beginning of working on the farm.
On Labor Day 2015 (appropriately) the family gathered at the farm to begin clearing brush so we could see just what we had gotten ourselves into.
That day is chronicled on the Labor Day page.
 
For this celebration we invited family, friends and neighbors to come enjoy the day, under the old oak tree.

 
We took the kids on a hay ride (without the hay) around the farm.

 
 
The prior weekend we had a practice run at relaxing around the Old Oak Tree, taking a break from laboring on the tractor barn.
